Mr. Mukul Agarwal takes over charge as Executive Director & Refinery Head, Mathura Refinery

Mathural Mr. Mukul Agarwal has taken charge as the Executive Director & Refinery Head of Mathura Refinery.
An Electrical Engineer from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Nainital, Mr. Mukul Agrawal joined IndianOil at Mathura Refinery in the year 1993 as a Graduate Engineer Trainee.
With over three decades of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, he has significantly contributed in the areas of mainstream operations, refining, technological upgradation, process innovation and project management. He is also an expert of the captive thermal power plants operated at refining units of IndianOil with hands-on experience at Mathura, Gujarat and Panipat Refineries. His contributions during his tenure till 2009 at Mathura Refinery witnessed capacity augmentation of MR from 6MMTPA to 8 MMTPA and commissioning of various units including power plant, DHDS, DHDT, gas turbines and revamp of AVU.
During his tenure at Gujarat Refinery from 2009 to 2020, Mr. Agarwal was spearheading Resid Upgradation Project, commissioned new gas turbines and was a part of reliability enhancement projects. Before taking charge as Executive Director & Refinery Head of Mathura Refinery, Mr. Agarwal was handling the responsibilities of Chief General Manager (P&U and Instrumentation) at Panipat Refinery and was a part of mega projects of commissioning of BSVI units, executed oxygen supply during peak Covid times, gave his expertise for 2G- 3G Ethanol project and P25 capacity expansion project. With his expertise in electrical forte, he successfully spearheaded 220 KV Grid Power projects both at Gujarat and Panipat refineries.
Mr. Agarwal is known for his cutting-edge technical proficiency, electrical reliability task force formation & compliance and thorough project management. A people’s man with sharp focus on the goals of the Corporation, he is a true motivator and the strength of his team.
Mr. Agarwal has succeeded Mr. Ajay Kumar Tiwari who has been transferred as the Executive Director (Exploration & Planning), Business Development, Corporate Office, Delhi.
